well, the black car had to go. The auto sucked, plain and simple. It was boring to drive. so, 1.5 months later after placing a special order here she is

6MT
No sunroof (helmet headroom)
all options sans wood trim (I like the standard trim more than I thought I would)
2 piece GM performance rotors
No PDI plastic prep removal (so *all* the plastic stuff was still on there) It was like christmas.

Opulent Blue exterior color. Black diamond was just too much mantiance, and I liked the blue or it was a close to monte carlo blue in the F10 M5 as I could get

on to the pics!

Beautiful! The great thing about no PDI is no swirl marks in that awesome paint!

I like the custom plates, but too bad VA makes you put a front plate on that nice bumper.

Noone makes an honest blue car anymore. Nice choice. Now get a pic of you smoking 'em.

Yes, it is a shame that Virginia requires the front plate.

So does Washington, but I dont run a front plate.

Beautiful car. As far as being an M5 eater, is it? I saw the M5 on top gear, Clarkson had tremendous things to say about its power and handling.

Back when I worked at a Caddy dealer we did 148mph with 4 people in a 04CTS V on a pdi run. I was told the XLR did 167.

But back on topic, like they said nice car man.

I've done 160+ on a pass

Atleast put the plate in the factory provided spot in the center, off the side looks awful..did you drill into that nice bumper?? There is also a power "hidden"plate system that is neat. Texas requires a front plate as well, but I don't run one on my CTS as the fine is cheap anyhow.

But NICE car! I like the color. We have 2 CTS V's in company service right now. A Black diamond (that ugly 70's looking metal flake color) coupe and a white diamond sedan. The coupe is a manual and the sedan is auto. I've driven both and according to magazine reports the auto is actually faster than the manual (I guess driver skills come to play) 0-60 and 1/4 mile. But the top speed goes to the manual. The manual is much more fun though and the auto is slow to downshift I noticed.
