Cross Reference for SAE 30 Machine Oil

I am lookng for a cross reference for SAE 30 machine oil. This is for the headstock of geared head lathe. This is the manufacture's spec for this 1941 lathe that I have.

Would this gearbox be considered a lightly loaded gear box or would it be one that needs extreme pressure additives in the lubricant?

Some thing like an ISO 68 or 100 AW Hydraulic Oil or maybe a Turbine Oil seems to match fairly well if it is considered lightly loaded.

Any suggestions?

I think you are on the right track. The geared head lathe I used to maintain specified mobil vactra #2 for it's gearboxes. I also had a cincinnati horizontal mill that spec'd turbine oil in the gearbox.

BTW SAE 30 is ISO 100

I'd use an ISO 68(30wt) or ISO 100(40wt), nondetergent, R&O inhibited, compressor oil....
