Countdown for Selling My Home

Sold in a week? Do you have any offers yet? I don’t know how hot the market is where you are but up here the average days on market for most single detached homes are around 30-45 days. It’s higher if the homes are above two million and a little bit less for entry level homes. My girlfriend is a realtor

Just over two years ago, our house sold first weekend multiple offers and above asking price.
However, the house was not underpriced as we sold for the highest ever in the community and the highest per square foot. With that said we maintained an impeccable home and it photographed beautifully along with the landscaping.

So that was the Midlands of South Carolina now on the coast just over the border in North Carolina
My neighbor’s 2.5 year-old house just sold the first day. It was on the market for about 7% more than they paid for it.
I do think in hindsight that maybe they could’ve got a little bit more. At the same time peace of mind as they have already moved out so I guess they didn’t care.

I have always been of the mind that if your house sells within a week that you listed it too low. But on the other hand a quick sell is much easier on the mind

It could be like dating, if a house has been on the market "too long" potential buyers get "spooked". Lots of irrational emotion. Good luck with sale!

When my ex wife and I sold our house after we split up we knew exactly what we wanted for the house and exactly what it was worth. So we listed it for 1.8 million and 6 HOURS after we listed it we got an offer for 1.8 million. I’m sure we could have gotten 1.85 or even 1.9, but we might have waited a month to get that. And we were pretty happy with 1.8, considering the fact that we paid 1.1 for it just three years prior to that.
