I would like to apply duragloss polish(no cleaners version), in between my waxing jobs. The folks at duragloss say that the product could be layered without any build up. I would be using mother gold pure caranuba wax paste.I am considering maybe every 2-3 weeks use regarding the duragloss polish. What say you? Thanks!!

Best Regards!

You can add wax on top of a sealant, but not a sealant on top of a wax.

The wax inhibits the sealant's ability to bond to the paint surface, reducing its longevity.

I'd be concerned of a build up of these products over time. It's like putting butter on top of margarine on top of jelly on top of butter. Eventually, you'll have to polish off all this stuff and get back to basics.

Having said all that, it's your car so do whatever you like. You won't really hurt anything, so if you feel like doing all that work, rock on!

Thanks, I was just wondering.I usually do the sealant polish application every three months, however, when I do this, I incorporate Duragloss cleaner, polish, sealant combo, then I use their pure polish/sealant, then I would wax. Thanks again!

If you are using #105 it has a chemical cleaner in it along with the sealant.....kind of an all in one product. You would be removing the wax that you applied previously everytime you applied the #105. A combo that will work and still give you the look and slickness you desire is Duragloss #105 or #501 followed by a spray application of Duragloss Aquawax twice a month. In spite of the name Aquawax is actually a sealant and helps bolster what you have aready applied. Uber slick and fantastic look.

Drop the Mother's and go Aquawax. DG products play well together and the look & durability are both enhanced.

I really like the Duragloss products. I use the 601 bonding agent then I believe 105. Aquawax every so often. Seems to work well.

You plan to use DG every 2-3 weeks, or wax? Using Dg every 2-3 weeks is extreme overkill. AquaWax would work well with this interval, but you don't want too much of it built up as well. DG 105 & 101 both have cleaners. 111 is more of a pure sealant.

Which specific product # are you questioning?
