Very odd video. This guy makes a good point in spite of nearly everything he says being a flat out purely speculative lie.

There is simply no evidence to support this claim of lesser engine life on synthetic versus conventional unless the manufacturer recommends synthetic due to high oil tempatures.


I believe you meant conventional versus synthetic since we've rarely heard the argument for the contrary.

Snagglefoot: Check my sig. I'm with you. Keeping my vehicles forever. I'm thinking of changing to the ST Synthetic from what I'm using now. $10 savings on an oil change. Your thoughts?


I see Super Tech makes a full synthetic high mileage oil. That sounds interesting.

Or I meant to say there is no evidence to support synthetic causes longer engine life over conventional. The rate most members change oil on here API SH PCMO would still have life left in it before it would be changed out.
