Finally got to the pain management doctor. Great guy. Totally above board and open book. He acknowledges that most other physicians are too paranoid these days, but with some cause. He'd giving me more morphine for "break throughs" than the others did for full time. The other meds are for time release full time management ...etc..etc.

Finally someone who gives a flying hoot how I'm coping with the condition with the task of making it tolerable.

Celecoxib (Celebrex) is in there somewhere.

He talks to you in blue jeans and a tee shirt. He sorta looks like a taller, leaner, and less bulky Col. He could be his brother.

I had a solid 6+ hours of sleep last night. This is the first time I've had more than 2hours in over a month. Usually it was 2 hours waking up due to pain. This time ..merely mild discomfort (which one can have in a recliner that you've mated with for over a month). I might try the bed in a day or two.

He's given me Oxicodne 15mg for acute pain, which appears to be a bit much. I think I'll ask him for 5mg tablets so I can scale them a bit better.
