If your considering Ozympempic or one of the similar drugs our there, then before you start and while taking Ozympempic get your Lipase checked. It's a pancreas enzyme. Doctor needs to order the test. I started on Ozympempic, did not even get to the intended dosage. My primary doctor order a Lipase blood test at it was 600 and should be under 60. It's taken a year for it to get back to 60.

Did not want to loose weight with Ozympempic but die of pancreatitis.

I used Ozempic for about 6 months and had terrible heartburn. Monjuaro has been much more pleasant and effective for me. A friend suggested it for similar reasons. Sometimes its been difficult to get refills due to folks getting it who dont need it. That is the real travesty. This isnt medical advice btw.

Those of you saying "be less fat" and "diet" and "exersize" have no clue what you are talking about and have no idea why it was prescribed.

Good luck OP.

I hadn't thought that my heartburn could be because of it. I don't like the constant uneasy feeling in the stomach especially after eating dairy. I am on a low dose of it. I am still getting straightened out after having gangreen and sepsis from a butt pimple at the end of May so cant tell what is meds and what is recovering. I was just about to start Ozempic that happened.

The drugs that are heavily advertised on TV are there for a reason. They're marginally effective-- in studies they only have to be proven to be 1% more effective than a placebo-- and laden with side effects. There's usually a better choice for any ailment, which doctors already know about. Many of the commercials even say "for patients where <other drug> was not effective" which means if you have not already tried <other drug> you should ask your doctor for that instead.

The only "new drug" I would be interested in taking would be a cure for cancer assuming I live long enough to need it.
If I was going to lose weight I would probably go for the methamphetamines. It has side effects but at least they're known and not stuff like detached retinas, leaking intestines, anal leakage, blood clots, turbo cancer, unexplained urge to commit mass murder, join a cult, ect.
The Dr put my buddy on 30mg of crank a day and he lost like 50lb over 6 months, that was 2 years ago and he's kept it off.
He said it made it really easy for him to skip lunch and not pig out at dinner, eating the same or less for dinner.

I am on Ozempic 2.0mg, and it has resulted in dramatic weight loss when nothing else seemed to work. There are side effects to be aware of, but none are worse than dying of a heart attack at 55, or losing your eyesight, kidneys, or left leg to diabetes. Everything in life is a risk, but for me it is worth it and I feel better than I have in years and have been able to go off some of my blood pressure meds as well.

Note, my previous comment was off topic and not helpful, hence @SubieRubyRoo 's sad emoticon... I have since edited that comment.
