My fav C-P products data sheets are missing from the C-P website. The only ones available are for the Kendall product line.

Anyone know if C-P is abandoning their products? Or... what?

I believe Flying J truck stop is Conoco-Phillips.

Just more proof that all gas is the same.. though IF it is the same price, i DO get "name Brand."

Also, when gas prices go waay up.. im inclined to get Name brand more as well, since you are paying Anyway.

What are your "Fav C-P" Products?

P.S.: Out where i live in Indianapolis, Circke K Gas Trucks put gas in Circle K AND the Shell across the Street.. i TRY to get BP when price goes uppppp... but for all i knowm that shares with the Speedway across the street.

Johnny is probably right about updating. I know they listed at least 76 on there before, since that is what JL put in before our trip to florida 3200 miles ago.

The oils: CONOCO, 76, Phillips 66, Kendall, & Motorcraft (the red haired child).

I use the Phillips 66 gas from time to time but mostly Valero, HEB or Shell as they are easy to find.

No it isn't as the additives used in it vary greatly from brand to brand. The base product may be the same but the final gas product you pump into your car is not.

Yes.. but two questions i have:

1) Arent Federal Regulations in place to ensure that all "86 Octane" is 86 Economy grade, never seen this, all 87 is 87, 89 = 89, 91 = 91, 92 = 92, 93 = 93 and 94 = 94 (Sunoco, useless0 for Pump gas?

And 2) These "Additives" ... I seem to recall they are sprayed in at the last second onto the Tanker trucks? Ive also seen "Circle K" Trucks fillign up a Shell station, then pull across the street after they are done and fill up the Circle K.. How is that different Gas?

I also wonder how accurtae the Shell commercials are.. I heard -All- gas contains Detergents!!

The octane rating has nothing to do with the add pack or how clean it will keep your fuel system and combustion chamber. There is 87 and then there is 87. If a no name station buys a better quality final product and sells it so be it( how will you know? )but what makes the difference is the additives added. The EPA sets minimum standards but that doesn't mean there isn't gas out there that exceeds those standards. Many gas companies like ConcoPhillips( P66 )and Chevron exceed those standards and have a top tier product.

Around here we have a chain of no name stations that sells really poor quality gas. Their gas clearly is the bare minimum as far as add pack goes as vehicles run for extended periods of time on their gas develope issues related to poor quality fuel( time and again when I sold parts you would hear of problems with cars run solely on their gas ). I even have a family member who fell prey to their poor product.

I told my Brother in law time and again to avoid that place but he kept going there to save the 3-5 cents a galllon over the numerous name brand gas stations within 1/8 mile in any direction. His truck started running like crud and his MPG plummeted. We had to do quite a bit of work to get it running good again. I had him promise to only run name brand gas( and preferrably the better ones like P66 )and now his truck runs much better and his MPG is back up. He spends a little more for the gas upfront but his maintenance costs are down and with the stable higher MPG in the long run he has saved money.

Cheap gas won't hurt for a tank or two( usually )but long term you are better off sticking to a name brand and if possible a top tier gas. The add pack is better. Again, if you know for a fact the no name gas is from a name brand company and is the exact same final product go ahead but if you don't know I would avoid it.

There is a difference in gas.
