So far this is an interesting post.

You really do follow Trav's lead without question don't you?

Multiple long rambling consecutive posts, starting topics under his pet peeve, telling people what to do right off, I thought it was skyship for sure.

I think its either

a) Mori on purpose is pretending he is skyship using a new id and is intending to annoy Trav

b) Mystic misses skyship so much he has created this id so that he can talk to himself

Who knows, maybe it is Skyship coming back. After awhile I did not really mind Skyship. He irritated people here with the way he presented himself but his original message was actually correct in many ways. But then his message changed right before he left.

The people here I have the most problems with are the ones who seem to spend all of their time attacking other people instead of contributing something useful to discussions here. This website is for discussing motor oils, oil filters, and various automobile maintenance subjects. But there are a few people who come here and seem to just want to attack other people here. All of the silly personal attacks do not advance the discussions.

No matter who Bodensee is this discussion is a useful discussion. I think the best way to deal with the ones who like to launch personal attacks against other people is just to ignore them.

I guess you must have been referring to this post. You have me on ignore so it can't be anything I said.

Mori was smarter than you, is that why you're upset?

I forgot some things from list, apart from seeing if a hose will fit down filler to sump if you don't like drilling an old plug.
HEADGASKET FAILURES
Some sludge jobs are caused by headgasket allowing anti freeze into oil, BUT you can also get trouble after serious sludge incident (Low pressure warning etc). Even if the engine was cleaned well, it might have been damaged by irregular flow of oil around head area. Not good for old head gasket I think.

Nice thing is to keep real good watch for trouble from head gasket, not just obvious signs but watch the Potassium and Sodium figures if you are UOAing. I try to use oils with none of those 2 compounds, to make it easier for lab to spot problem.

Don't forget if you flush sump with acetone or other solvents, vapour will form (Safer with cold engine) that turns engine into potential bomb if grease monkey smoking.

I'm not Mori. I know me saying that will only make you believe it more so I repeat I am not Mori, I am not Mori, I am not Mori. I even went back to read some of his posts and am puzzled by how you reached that conclusion.

If you say so. So why the change of location and profession?
Your IP must be all over the map.

Think it would be easier to just use a half a can of B12 CHEMTOOL....though it is not "notated" on the can, I've inquired over at Berryman's....and they said, yes the procedure still works, but they do not recommend it, and had to remove the directions because people were overfilling their crankcase with the solvent and causing problems (I read in between the lines, to think blown seals, motors, etc...lol).

But he went onto say, YES, it is still "safe" as long as only half the can is used...and the crankcase is full of oil (the solvent will not over-fill the case...). Give it a good 1000 mile run, then drain it....most of the solvent flashes off within the first 40 minutes anyhow.
