After posting a thread on which grease to pack my harbor freight wheel bearings with, I have decided to use Redline CV-2 grease.
The question has now become what to remove the oil grease with. Apparently the grease is some inferior low speed Chinese grease and must be removed. Even the instructions warn that the bearings must be removed and repacked.
Here is a writeup on the repacking process:

Some posters have claimed that you must go through several cans of brake clean and this doesn't sound fun at all.
I have read that gasoline is a no no as well.
Would mineral spirits be a good idea?
Thanks for any thoughts!
