CITGO Superguard 0W-20 full syn, does anyone have any experience with this oil? Application would be 2014 Subaru Outback with 2.5 4cyl boxer

I have no experience with it, but why would you want to run it? There are plenty of options at Walmart that are inexpensive and you know they will perform excellently!

+1; OTOH, with mfg rebates, CITGO is by far the best value motor oil in my parts; I see no $1.50/qt semisyn @ WM. I have been using the 5W-20 and 5w30 for years.

To the OP; it is SM/SN rated; you are GTG.

I can buy this wholesale for 28.50 per case of 6. It meets the highest rating required by Subaru. I am just wanting to know if anyone has personally used this oil and had any samples pulled and how it fairs.

I have never used the 0w-20 variant, but I do use the 5w-20/5w30 Supergard with great results, and my wallet seems to like the pricing also.

Here's the PDS:

With a VI of only 164 it's heavier than all OEM 0W-20s including the Idemitsu made Suburu 0W-20.
But it is an API SN oil so it does meet the basic requirements of Subaru. $4.75/qt is a decent price for a cheap GP III synthetic.
In future I'd recommend a superior oil like M1 AFE 0W-20 particularly for a Wyoming winter. There is nothing lighter on start-up at extremely cold temp's and it can be had a WalMart for 5 bucks/qt or so.

I found Valvoline 0w-20 at Walmart for 22.00 for 5 quarts so I bought a couple of containers and will try it for starters.
