I had a one each of the Fuente and Padron legends last week. I think Monday and Wednesday. This weekend, drove down to Wildwood. On Sunday, I smoked a 2005 OpusX Maduro Scorpio which was really good even after all the years I have had it. Yesterday I had a God of Fire Serie B Robusto. It was better than the other size I had a few weeks prior. I forget which size it was, but it was one of the original that was released when they first came out. Shame on me for not remembering.

While in Wildwood, we stopped in Cape May and I went to the cigar store at the shops. Things were triple the price. A Padron 1964 Torpedo was $55!!!!!! I short Story was $24 and Perdomos were $22+. I think a DC #2 was $35 or $38.

Sounds like CA prices. That Dirty Rat I posted earlier is in the $45 range & up here.

Yeah, NJ has some of the lowest taxes on cigars in the country. CA on the other hand, has some of the highest.
Don't be fooled by NJ. I once ordered cigars from a chicago based store. About a year later, I got a bill from the state of nj for tobacco and sales tax. I argued with them saying that I could see sales tax but not tobacco tax since I already paid it on the original sale. I lost that battle and had to pay I think it was an additional $80 to the state.

But NJ doesn't really have big known cigar sales companies, compared to PA.

NJ has JR Cigar retail stores (headquartered in NC), but across the river, you have Famous Smoke and Cigars International.

These days, my "Cheap Smoke" is Drew Estates Factory Smokes Sweet

Do they have separate rules for online cigar sales like NV?

PA has The Cigar Farm. Not a big online retailer but cool guy (Trevor) that offers great deals. One of my favorite places to order (also no tax)

Not separate but they have an agreement that they will submit all names and addresses to the state of NJ since IL was not charging sales tax. So again, I can agree with NJ sales tax but to charge me the tobacco tax too was BS.

Yeah I’d agree that’s bs. If CA wasn’t so dysfunctional, they’re most certainly greedy enough to do similar. The state is to inept to implement tracking like that though.

Fingers crossed but I’m only a couple years away from being out of this hell-hole.
