MB has had it in their E350 since 2014. They do have a disable switch, but it's just for that particular start. Every time you start the car, it's enabled again and you have to hit the disable button. There's an OBD tool that will disable it permanently, but it's a few hundred dollars. There are several 2014+ models out there with over 100k on them. Everyone seems to hate DI, but it does give a nice horsepower boost, MB went from 268hp to 302hp going to DI.

Like I said early, the 2014's seem to be fine, no major issues with DI or the start/stop. But people do seem to hate the start stop feature and there's an aux battery for it that tends to die early, a bunch got replaced in the 2-3 year range. The only good thing about that is that once the aux battery dies, the start/stop feature doesn't work anymore, but then you end up with a warning message on the dash all the time. I'm eyeing my next one and I wouldn't have any issues with a getting a 2014+
