Have any Chevron Supreme users taken their oil change intervals past 5,000 miles? I'm thinking of doing 6 month intervals with Chevron 10w30, I only average 8,000-10,000 miles a year.

I can't be convinced to take any PCMO past 5K miles. Even the best one's seem not to have a lot of TBN left.

When you talk about how many miles, you need to say in what type of driving. I've got a couple of Ford pickups running Chevron Supreme 5w30 in city deliveries. I have excelent UOA at 6,000 to 9,000 km (about 4,000 to 6,000 miles).
If it is highway driving, it could be extended further.
Ambient temperature and idle time are other factors. a lot of idling at low temps kill TBN.

I'm with haley10, I wouldn't push it.

For your 'Stang, I'd do 2 oil changes per year as long as your going at least 5,000 miles per year.

I have a UOA of Chevron for over 5k in below zero temps with fuel and antifreeze contamination. It seemed to do great although it was a 3800. Sorry not TBN.
