Has anyone, who is running Chevron Supreme (10W-30 preferrbly), took off their valve covers to see how clean it is under there?

I've run 10w30 Havoline for 150k miles; took valve covers off at 100k miles to replace the gasket - engine is the 3.2L Isuzu Sohc, non-oil burner. Very clean and no need to do anything but install new gasket.

RF - Just out of curiousity, how long were your OCI's through that 100K (roughly), and type of driving?

I'm thinking I might give Havoline a try down the road.

TIA.

Although I've used alot of different dino oils in my daughters 88 Accord,(which I purchaced new for myself back then), most of the oil changes were done with Havoline 5 & 10/30(due to price and rebates over the years). Just removed the valve cover to replace the gasket that was leaking and the cam, rockers, springs and valve cover itself all look great. Don't see Chevron very often around my area. 3-5000 mile OCI and engine has over 340,000 miles. No rebuild on the engine or the auto transmission. ATF was also replaced annually with anything DEXRON.
