changing from synthetic to conventional in dodge c

I switch back and forth between synthetic and conventional on a seasonal basis with my semi with a Detroit Series 60. Synthetic in the winter for better cold flow performance (it sits during break periods with engine off and no ability to plug in), conventional in the summer to keep costs down. When it take 10 gallons for a oil change, every little bit helps. I have run samples on both in the same engine and I have noticed no difference in oil sample results one way or the other using the same brand of oil, which in my case, is Chevron Delo for the same OCI.

I'm thinking that you meant that if both a conventional and synthetic are 10w30 weights, the synthetic 10w30 should be thinner at extreme cold temps compared with the conventional 10w30, or at least have a lower pour point. But just a guess.
