Hey guys, I found a killer deal on Centric power slot rotors for my car, [a little more than 85% off]. The catch is they are right side slotted only.
Now the blanks for my car are not directional. All catalogs for stock and dealer specifies only 1 part #. So as far as I know the cooling vanes inside are not left or right sided.
Any ill effects buy using "right side" slotted on both sides?

I'll be using Hawks HP Plus GG rated pads up front.
Thanks!

Curious question. Obviously the sweep of the slots will be backwards on the left and any gas or material removal will be up against centrifugal force... but I don't know if this really means anything. Do the slots even offer any real advantages with modern brake pads? I don't think they tend to off-gas much....

It's for one of my cars in the stable, these rotors are for a MazdaSpeed 6 cat843.

I know pads produced now don't gas up as the older pads were thought to do once. The rotors are just such a good price that buying rotors from the dealer at even our shop cost wouldn't come close.
I'm a firm believer of standard blanks, more heat sink and better structural integrity.
I did how ever come across this link, which shows that the material and process have changed with the product quality.

I remember EBC from the 90's and reading about them in the Victoria British catalogs...

Amazon carries EBC.

Buy 1 right side slotted rotor at the discount and 1 proper left side at whatever price you can find and be happy with your savings and you'll have no worries regarding performance. I've used Centric slotted rotors on several of my vehicles, they are worth the full price.

Nope. My rotors are slotted from the factory due to the stock pads being so aggressive. The rotors are slotted one way only, there is absolutely zero issues with direction. My car has 4 piston Brembos on all 4 corners and very large rotors.

Typically slotteds are used for specific pad issues. Probably not needed at all, but can be a styling thing...

At that price, I'd grab those rotors. I hate slotted rotors but 85% off... they'd go everywhere.

EBC, when color matched to driving style/vehicle, are excellent pads. But, they will bring out the installer shortcuts with squeeks or screeching.

I would call centric, but I think this would work. Reminds me of the late 90's cavalier hubcaps, GM only made one direction sweep design, so the driver side went one way and the passenger the other. No one noticed then, I doubt they will notice on your car.
