They use Sawz-Alls around here [Chicago] to steal cats from cars.

Next time I'm under my car I'm painting mine to look all rusty and old. oh, forgot. it already is all rusty and old. But if I ever need a new cat, it's getting the 6000 SUX treatment.
Copper pipes from A/C systems are popular targets in Nashville. It's amazing how people have no conscience any more.

Actually if you can disguise it to look aftermarket and new those get much less money.

Not condoning cat thieves, but if you're gonna rob, why not cats? Platinum is pushing $2000 per ounce, you can get $100 or more per cat at the scrapyard.
I wonder of any of these under cars workers end up in the ER. It's got to be a dangerous job. The exhaust system I did in the driveway drew blood several times.

It takes me at least a half hour to get a cat out cleanly around here, with all the rust. Thieves better be current on the tetanus shot, no doubt.
