How can they advertise this stuff? What is it based on? I don't buy it, although they are both great oils...Is Castrol that desperate they have to sink to this level???????

Something as simple as a UOA where one wear metal is 7 ppm for the Mobil 1 and 0 for Edge. They can really twist a lot around in advertisements.
also....don't screw it up. Castrol claims to be 8x better. Not 7x

haha...In all honesty though, it's all marketing. They are desperate. Like I said before, M1 has the market in synthetics and everyone will do anything to get a bigger slice of that pie.

Maybe it's 8x better than the anti aging cream by Olay. 
My engine is quieter since I began using Edge a thousand miles ago in my Corolla. The engine had more of a "ticking" sound at idle in the garage when I would listen to it running on PP 5w30.
