Canola Oil for Biodiesel

Hello all. I work for a company that will eventually need to dispose of thousands of gallons of canola oil. Is there a place where the used oil can be sold? I'm sure my boss will let it go for a very low price!! Company is in the Bay Area of California.

@GMcGurty I would recommend you have your company contact ADM or Cargill.

They might want to turn it into a Canolate or process it for personal skin care products.

I used to run waste veggie oil in my old Volvo diesel. With a bit of simple processing your used oil will power a diesel 240 or 300D for sure. . Lots of diesel cars have been modified with a two tank system. You could have a lifetime supply of cheap fuel.

Rudolph Diesel actually designed his invention to run on peanut oil.
