Can I use a cable lug crimper for air compressor fittings?

I have a Temco TH0005 hydraulic hex die crimper and was wondering if it can be used as a brass ferrule crimping tool for air compressor fittings.

This is the tool and dies it uses.

I've seen ferrule dies that are similar but unsure if they would fit. Could I use a hex crimp on an brass ferrule for air hoses?

This is the die I would like to use if it would fit in my crimper...just can't find dimensional info on these dies.

If anyone has a Milton crimper with dies can you give me the measurements of the dies?

Unless a hex crimp would work but I'm thinking these dies work with the barbed fitting.

I don't know but I'd think a cable crimper would not seal very good on an a/c fitting. Could wind up leaking in the end.

Meant to say the application is for a 5/8" OD air compressor hose with a barbed fitting.

Safe bet the hose crimper gets the meat of the hose down in the valleys of the barbed fitting.

My thinking is if a hose clamps works, then maybe a brass ferrule with a hex crimp might also?
