I've askd about mixing before and got the ok, but i'm not sure how far you can take this. What about mixing Torco blend with motul 7100 ester? very different oilds, tho both 20w50. It would be 4 quarts of torco and 1/2 quart of motul. I only would do this because my bike takes 4.5 quarts and i have a new gallon of motul 7100 i decided i don't want to use. So i figured i could just use the gallon to get that last 1/2 quart in instead of needing 5 quarts of torco. I hate to waste a $60 jug of oil. Yes/no?

One of the few good things government did many many years ago was to mandate that engine oil must be compatible with any other engine oil. Reason is that when a driver had to add oil between oil changes, they had a limited choice at gas stations so they could not add an oil that did not mix with the oil already in the sump. (Remember when "gas stations" would check you oil?)

Wish they would mandate something like this for coolants.
