Maybe the idea was to laugh instead of flame.

There is no PennzOIL per se anymore, it is Shell oil, or SOPUS, or Royal Dutch Shell, whichever business name you like. So is Quaker State. Foreign. Good products.

Oh ya. Good point. Bad place to sense the OP but that would do it.
I betcha it's the ADBV. It's hard to find an M1 on the shelf that doesn't vent pretty freely if you blow in the center hole.

I'd yoink that puppy out of there some pre-drive morning and see if hardly any oil pours out. Then fill it with oil, put a cork in the center hole, and turn it upside down over a bucket. Bet it dribbles all out.

syn_all_the_way, I know you just paid dearly for a Mobil 1 filter, but if that's the only difference from your usual routine, I'd have to point to the filter as the cause of your ticking. You don't specify what make of car you have, but is there any way you can get a factory-recommended filter to try? If it's not the filter, then you can re-install the M1.

And Petrou, I sincerely hope your post was meant as a joke, son.
