This video should start some fist fights. I watched it but some information gave me pause... 😆

Naming engines past and present which gave longevity. We already know about the narrator .....

I rented a E series van back in 1995
I had a great relationship with the rental company and they rented a new cargo van with 8 miles on it.

I had a 500 mile run through upstate PA into Canada and pulled over for gas and popped the hood to check the oil and was shocked at a 4.9 L sitting in the engine bay.

I came from a background in doing maintenance on the family GM vans with most being 305 and 350s...

That 4.9 was very impressive especially on the mountainous terrain. Not bad on gas either..

Without watching the video, the 300 I6, probably one of the most reliable engines they ever made.
That whole series of straight-sixes, 200/250/300 CID, were indestructible. I had a '68 Ford Fairlane (my first, a hand-me-down beater) with a 250 that was severely neglected by the previous owner and it just ran and ran. I think that entire car had maybe 12 moving parts and one of them was me.

I agree, I owned several with the 200 I6 and 300 I6, although none with the 250 I6. They ran forever. The 3.0L Vulcan was another tough little engine.

In the early 90’s I had a minty 79 Mustang with a 250 in line 6 my wife’s uncle had owned since new. Wish I had been able to keep it longer but it didn’t work well for a young growing family.

Unlike my current Mustang it was also useless with any snow on the ground, although in all fairness I didn’t know a thing about tires then either.

I had a new 2006 Lincoln LS with the 3.9 L mouse motor V8
The car was average but I loved that engine. Only 252 hp in the day but I always thought that would have been ideal in a Mustang

Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure my old beater actually had the 200, not the 250. It made lousy power but never left me stranded.

This video is what is wrong with AI.
Comments gathered from?? Other YouTube videos? Internet? Comments are not data.

Let alone the bad vocal conversion. I find it ironic the background videos are engine tear downs of busted engines.

I don’t disagree on the I6s but to include some junky EcoBoosts but not the 3.5 or even the NA 3.5 seems weak
