happens to my M3 since new, back up in the morning and it squeals like a stuffed pig but goes away after the first stop,

I have powerslot rotors and Hawk pads on my girlfriends Mazda 3 and her brakes are pretty loud. They squeal with lighter pressures all the time, she is always asking me if her brakes are alright... But I guess it is just the rotor/pad combination.

Brakes work excellent, though...

This surprises me. I've had that combo on alot of different applications without any noise. What particular Hawk pads? HPS?

Go get some anti squeal sauce at an auto parts store for about $6. You will have enough for bunches of brake jobs, if necessary.
Apply the sauce to the back of the pads, and reinstall. then step on the brake before it dries/cures [to seat better]. This stops squealing in the 90% of the time range. Odds are great that it will make the car nice and quiet.
Even if you have shims, you can also use sauce.
Don't go crazy with gobs/mountains .

Pads should not need any anti-squeal sauce unless the OEM says so. Brake noise problems are often caused by worn hardware and/or issues with the rotor finish.

Sounds like you need to take the brakes apart and use brake grease on all the contact points. Also the sliders.. Sometimes there will be a little rust buildup on the caliper guides that needs to be buffed a little with a dremel, then greased.
