Yeah, I was saddened to hear that news this a.m.
It will probably have a more negative effect on the 787 deliveries than it will on the revised Air Force tanker RFP and new bidding.
I did not read the details as to what the union was asking for (other than the fact one union negotiator commented in the WSJ that Boeing had made billions of dollars to date and the workers should share in a cut of those dollars), but what Boeing offered seemed to be reasonable.
For the record, I don't work for Boeing or its's subsidiaries, nor do I belong to a union. I also have not seen specifics on the union's request.
The pain will likely be short term for Boeing, barring a really long strike.
