I've been seeing a lot of commercials on Speed channel for G oil, a biodegradable motor oil.
I read their web site but of course they are not going to give away too much info. It did say they were made from animal fats and plant oils.
Does this sound like ester based oil?
Anyone with more info, please join in.

Just bought shares of this company. Hope the commercials causes interest. From what I have read it's a group 4 oil and there was an earlier posting taunting how great it is by what looked like a group of friends.

It is a Grp V oil, an ester, like Redline or gas turbine oils, although it does not have as robust an additive pack as Redline.
Also, neither Redline nor gas turbine oils use beef tallow as a source of intermediates from which the basestock is made.
I've been thinking about the stock.
It is a penny stock at the moment, but it has traded much higher than its current market value.
It is likely pretty biodegradable out of the bottle, although not out of the sump, unless you know of some microbes that like lead, aluminum and copper.

I used it for a 4K run and I could tell no differences in any other synthetic oil I've tried. Came out a nice dark but clear gold color. I know that is not any objective analysis but seemed a fine oil.

Everything is Biodegradable to a point. Everything came out of the Earth(we import nothing from other planets) so everything can go back in. Thats why I dont understand the logic of Landfills. Its all Earth, we just modified the end product for use.
