If something goes wrong with a third party purchase on Amazon, they will not support you in getting a resolution on your order. I ordered an expensive piece of exercise equipment on December 11, and never received it. I got jerked around by Amazon customer service, and the issue never got resolved.

The true mettle of a good company is how they respond when something goes wrong.

Amazon will not support you if that happens.

Amazon has been great to me, even resolving third party purchases without any hassle at all. Amazon has really great customer service!

I've never had a problem with Amazon either but that's not to say it will never happen. One thing OP should do is contact his credit card company and advise them the order was not received. Most if not all CC companies will resolve the issue for you.

Yeah this is an easy one, call the CC company and do a chargeback. I wouldn't fool around with Amazon or the vendor if they aren't doing anything to help you.

That!

What you are reporting seems completely the opposite of what I, and others that I know, have experienced. Can you provide some details ?
What the product was ?
Who you bought it from ?
The nature of the problem ?
Is the item out of stock ?
What steps you've already taken ?

That is you're (consumer) ultimate protection. Putting the item in dispute.

My customer service from Amazon has always been more than I expected. If you speak nicely and say please and thank you they will take care of you.

Bank of America went to bat for me when I had a problem with a online sports service provider. Also mention in conversation, BBB or Attorney General of your state. Don't give up.

Mentioning BBB does squat, 99.9% of the time.

Amazon has been great to me. Customer Service has been top notch.

How did Amazon "jerk you around" ?? Did you have all necessary documentation?

Nick

Depends on your area and population density. The online sports service I mentioned knuckled under the moment I mentioned BBB. Then when BofA called ten minutes later, my account was instantly credited. Just use the chain of command.

I avoid anything that does not list Amazon Prime shipping (I pay for it) as I know its third party.

Sorry about your woes. Your credit card is definitely an avenue for this.

Weird, I had the exact OPPOSITE experience with a 3rd party Amazon purchase, they instantly gave me the amount in a gift card when I filed for the A-Z Guarantee when the 3rd party seller started jerking me around!

Sorry about your luck, bad customers service is always hard to take.

Saying that, I've always been blown away by Amazon's customer service, top shelf! They are amazing anytime I have a problem with an order.

We should all go out and buy Amazon stock, today it's $398, remember that in 5 years when you look at the price.
