Winter is coming soon. What is the best way to remove the snow on the vehicle without scratching/marring the paint?
Please share your experiences.

None. Touch it, and you scratch it. Foam, bristle brush, it doesn't matter .

Most car dealers use a gas leaf type blower to blow off snow without touching the car. Not real practical for the average private owner though ...

I use a car wash brush mounted on a broom stick to reach everything without leaning on the car and/or get my hands in the snow. No marring on my paint, but use common sense. Dirt loaded snow is going scratch regardless of the tool.

A good leaf blower works on the dry powdery stuff.

That's what I use. I keep the brush in a clean plastic bag, and the pole in the in the back of my vehicle. I works well, and I have no scratches or swirls from it.

Prevent it from accumulating in the first place. Use a garage.

If that's not an option, get a winter beater.
You'll save yourself hours of concern over:
-cleaning,
-rust proofing,
-paint chips,
-cracked windshields
-door dings
etc.

In many states it's illegal to not clear off the entire car.

+100!

I use a winter beater and a garage. It's no fun driving a nice car in the winter.

A leaf blower would be best if the snow isn't really wet. Overwise scrapping all but an inch off the paint would be ideal.

It's illegal in Canada, or at least here in Ontario as well. I honestly can't see it being legal in any snow belt states/provinces and I'm sure there's laws everywhere about having any window obstructions at all.

Same here. I like cold temps but no snow or ice for me.

Except in freezing weather, that hot water freezes pretty quick and you have a bigger mess on your hands with frozen doors, frozen locks, frozen side mirrors, frozen windows, etc.

I have a brush like others have shown. You push on the snow 1"-2" above the roof line, hood and trunk lines, and the pile often slides off with ease....w/o touching your brush to the painted surfaces.

Yup, I was going to say move south.

I really hope you're joking.

Don't think it's a joke at all. I do the same as long as it's the light, feathery stuff. Now if it's heavy, wet stuff, I just use my arm to push off all but a thin layer. Then when I drive, that layer generally blows off.

As PimTac said and I'll repeat, windows and mirrors are cleared off almost 100% though. I also clear off my headlights and taillights. That's what letting the car warm up for ~10 minutes helps with too. Of course, that will give many hear a stroke too !! OMG, letting your car idle for longer than 2-1/2 minutes ? Yeap, us folks who do that aren't the people you see driving with a "peephole" in their front windshield to see out !
