Best TV show theme song

I probably shouldn't feed some addictions here by doing this, but hear your TV theme here .

P.S. - cartoons are really where the theme competition is fierce - the original Jonny Quest, Speed Racer and Spiderman cartoon themes still give me a charge.

Twilight Zone

Mighty Mouse

There was a show in the mid to late '50's Called Gray Ghost. It was a Civil war show. Theme song was The Yellow Rose of Texas. I always liked that one.
I did always like Bonanza, Rawhide, Secret Agent Man, Pink Panther, & the Lone Ranger. All good.

With Couragous Cat? I think that was a spedid piece with a nice accustic base and some really good horns. Along the lines of Peter Gun.

How bow ...Cannonball?? Rawhide was a favorite. The song reminds me of my wife and the way she approaches a day.

Barney Miller had some kickin' guitar work to it.

Great, now I've got that in my head for the rest of the day. It's gonna have to compete with all the voices in there though

Yep! "Head-em up ....move-em out!" (tasks). I just try and stay clear of the "vortex". It's kinda like a very motivated and beneficial Tazmanian Devil(ish)

How about another vote for "Miami Vice". As I remember the video part was kind of cool also.

I would also give "Rawhide" a good rating. Can't remember the video part as well though.

Don't forget the jazz-on-steroids theme music from the old Quinn Martin cop/detective shows, such as The Untouchables, Barnaby Jones, and especially Cannon. May William Conrad rest in peace.

Yes, in addition to Rawhide, the Mighty Mouse theme was another favorite. That one gets sung in the shower too sometimes.

I found the Mighty Mouse show to be unique. Operatic mice, and the situations the cats would put them into before Mighty Mouse arrived to "save the day" were pretty sadistic.

We also used to argue, as kids, which cartoon superhero could beat which superhero. Mighty Mouse usually came in pretty low as, after all, he was only a mouse.
