Guys,

I just ordered my first Blackstone test kit. Going to include TBN to check the OLM accuracy on my 2008 Chevrolet Impala 3.5L V-6 Flex Fuel engine.

What's the best shipping & packaging method to avoid any delay in Blackstone receiving my sample?

Thanks,
Gary

I use UPS or FedEx, and put the container (this is not the sample container, but the whole container) in a small box.

I have fedex'ed, UPS, USPS...the best and least expensive is priority. The sample will fit in a bubble mailer. My last priority was like 4 bux and got there in 3 days. I had those results the same day. I 2nd dayed my PU sample and it still took 3 days, and cost ALOT more

the fastest is where u pay a guy to fly it up there first class. Provided cost is not an option.

I've found the best bang for the buck is USPS Priority Mail. I always put the sample(s) in a small Priority Mail box. I personally think it being in a box prevents (undeserved) scrutiny and possible delays. A single sample should be under $5 postage. I just sent in three samples in one box and it was $5.95.

When I've done this, it seems Blackstone gets it in 2 business days (from PA), which seems pretty quick to me.

i usually use usps priority mail. but word of caution its best to use the box. i used the priority mailer and got a call from blackstone the mailer had ripped on something during transport and the sample got destroyed. usps said to use the box and have fragile stamped on it. hasnt failed me since.

DHL Same Day Secureline. You make the call, they pick up within the hour and get it anywhere in the world in 24 hours, by car, plane, or helicopter if they have to.

Though I think the price range is probably not what you're looking for.

I've had no issues just putting a $1.90 stamp on it at the post office. The post office near me has one of those ATM-like kiosks that can weigh parcels and dispense barcoded stamps.

I then drop the stamped cylinder in the hopper.

It's never taken more than a few days for Blackstone to get back to me.

No sense paying for fancy services when First Class Mail gets it there reliably on the cheap.

This method has always served me well, or just taking it to the counter if there's no line. 'Yes, it's liquid, triple contained with a leak absorber. No, it's hot a bodily fluid, flammable or hazardous.'

$1.90 and about a week later, I get my results via email. USPS has always served me well.
