I admit when one of these best of rock whatever threads comes around IMO you can just open the Led Zeppelin catalog and point your finger.

Once in a while I will crank up my vintage Bose + JBL speakers in the Man Cave to remember. Saw them as openers for Joe Walsh late 1975. What a surprise. Never had even heard of them before. After their set I felt bad for Walsh having to follow them on the stage.
I still remember seeing this video around 1 am on Don Kirschners Rock Concert after SNL and it just stunned me. Still play this in the car at max volume.
I almost added Clampdown. I didn't because IMO it's less iconic. But you're right, half the album has great intros. Rudie, Jimmy Jazz, Guns of Brixton...

Not one word for Little Wing? I consider that the most iconic Hendrix song. But anyway.
