I have been using Meguires Deep Crystal and it works ok, but is there any other stuff you can recommend for avoiding water spots and for better cleaning?

Prefer something that doesnt strip the wax too bad.

I've been happy using Meguiars Gold Class for years.

The only way to avoid water spots is to wipe the car dry before it dries on its own. This means washing the car in the shade.

I have been using what ever is on sale. It's usually Meguiars. Gold Class is great. I just got some NXT which I find to be very sudsy, which I like. To be honest most of them are all pretty much the same. I would invest in a foam gun and some high quality wash mitts. I like lambswool. I saw this at PepBoys on sale, it seems very thick, but I haven't tried it.

Well I usually do ok since I use the heck out of my Absorber, but I have no shade in my drive so I was looking for a good clean rinsing product.

I will have to try Gold Class. I was tempted to try the Black Magic stuff I saw at Wal Mart.

You don't have to wash it in the shade. But if you can dry it in the shade, that would help with the water spots. Or you can invest in a deionization system, but most people wont go that far.

Yeah not going to go that far. My only shade is in the middle of our large back yard. Hard to get the Scion back there though. I usually have to do about two passes with the absorber chamois to get all the spots off the panels.

Actually the Turtle Wash n Wax does a really nice job and the nice thing about it is that it gives you a refreshed wax coating to hold you over until you can hand apply a hard wax coating.

I use Eagle One carwash in a bottle, don't need a bucket of water.
Then I use Eagle One Wax-As-U-Dry while drying with my absorber. Car always looks mint, and beads water exceptionally well.

^^I use the Eagle One w/Nano Wax car wash and then I follow with the Eagle One Wax As U Dry. I also use the Wax As U Dry on my engine and entire engine bay. All of my car`s surfaces look showroom new. Excellent stuff!

Something I found that works well for me since I have little shade available for car washing also.

After I'm done washing the car, I hose down the entire car and then give each panel (roof-hood-trunk etc.) 2-3 sprays with a quick detailer while I'm drying that panel.

I've been using the Lucas Oil Slick Mist speed wax with a big micro-fiber towel that I pre-wet and wring out before drying the car. Works great for me. I've also used the Chemical Guys quick detailer spray Carnauba with great results too.

I'd suggest making sure that you try the speed wax/quick detailer before to make sure it doesn't stain your trim white. I've read that some will.

One thing you can do is wash the car in the evening around sunset. That way you dont have to worry about the heat and what not. Two of my favorite the I have used is Eagle One bucket less wash (that I cant find anywhere} and Zymol {really good stuff}

Read the label,it contains no wax. It does minimize the water spots though. Use what ever is on sale and dry the car with both a leaf blower and a good microfiber towel.

^^Now that idea I like! I`ve always wanted to try that.

I've been using this Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax for a few weeks now and it works very well. You can see and feel a respectable just waxed appeal to the vehicle. It would be a toss up between this or Meg's Gold Class w/conditioner, for me.

I use the following :

Does a pretty good job of washing and it does indeed wax.

The best car wash soap I've ever used was Turtle Wax Platinum. It was awesome, but I can't find it anymore
