Battery for Crosstrek

I have a 2016 Subaru STi with the original battery. Pretty sure the factory Panasornic is getting close to end of life.

Probably go back with a Napa AGM battery as soon as I can get out and make the purchase. Napa won't ship batteries. 👎ðŸ»

$179 for a battery is crazy. Subaru is supposed to be cheap to own. I'd buy a close enough fit $55 Walmart battery before spending that much. Absent that, there should be plenty of under $100 choices out there. Even another OEM battery that has a 3 year warranty shouldn't be much more than a C note. A 2.0 or 2.5L engine doesn't need many CCA anyway.

I would hate that. SS feature.

I have enough nanny ninnies working to kill me already

Morons stuff for moron drivers but kills good drivers.

I have ALWAYS shut off my car if i anticipate a long light.

I need my car ready to move NOW if traffic demands it.

One reason I went back to a stick and clutch.

What's this have to do with the battery?

Nope, I love the stop start feature. And if you're worried it might reduce the life of the battery, there isn't any significant data showing it. No cabin fever here. Been out most every day. Picked up a porchetta sandwich for lunch yesterday at an Italian deli. Yum. Not sure what I'll have today.

I put Costco battery last October for 2015 Subaru Crostrek around less 90 dollars,so far so good.I'd go 4 years on all car's for
peace of mind,Chicago winters.

I may have to try one of those if I can find a good Italian Joint that makes a good one.

All I have up here - that is decent - is a roadhouse /smokehouse joint on the side of the highway that turns out some good Bar B Que. Nice Brisket and roasted garlic mashed - but I can only take so much fat in one load!
