If these companies are not going to adapt to the wants of the consumer, then there's no helping them.
Dodge will continue to sell trucks( the new Ram is awesome ), the Journey, the new Challenger, plus the Charger and Avenger in addition to the Minivan. All are excellent vehicles. Chrysler has the new Sebring( very nice - too small for me but still very nice )and the 300( due for an update but still a nice ride )and the Town & Country.
I wish people would stop with this the big 3 don't make anything the consumer wants. It is bull. Toyota and Honda are not selling anything either. It is an industry wide issue not a Big 3 issue.
The plants that are being closed unfortunately affect many of those vehicles.

The plants on the chopping block are the Sterling Heights, Mich., assembly plant that makes the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger; the St. Louis North assembly plant that builds the Dodge Ram pickup; the Twinsburg, Ohio stamping plant and an engine plant in Kenosha, Wisc.
The St. Louis plant could close as soon as this September, while the Twinsburg plant is slated to close by March. The Kenosha plant would be shut in October 2010 while Sterling Heights would close in December 2010.
