"Mo's Bacon Bar"

Yep, I tried one of these today. As vile as it may sound, it's absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate flavors pair nicely with the mild smoke and salt of the bacon.

Company that makes it also makes a number of other gourmet chocolate bars, check out the site for other interesting flavors. Good gift idea for a chocolate loving lady in your life, sure beats that chrap they sell at the corner drugstore.

I tried one of those a few weeks ago. Got them as a gift from a client. Supposedly good with wine. I didn't care for it one bit.

One of my favorite pre mountain biking breakfasts is chocolate chip pancakes and bacon, so that bar is right up my alley.

Peanut butter and bacon on rye toast is another favorite.

I'd try that before I'd pay $15 for the chocolate bar! I figure that's what it would cost by the time it gets here.

I suppose I could make my own bacon chocolate bar. I'm sure the bacon would go well with at least one of the Lindt varieties. Madagascar 65% is my favorite, but the bacon might go better with something a little lighter and sweeter.

The Ukrainians make chocolate covered cured pork fat. It sounded disgusting when I first heard about it but I think it would not be too bad after a couple of shots of vodka.

And if that doesn't work, take a couple more shots, if that doesn't work....

We stopped at one of the Vosges chocolate stores while we were in Chicago last week. They had samples of some of their chocolate bars including the bacon one. It was pretty good. We bought several different kinds. I haven't tried all of them yet so I don't know which one I like the best.

That sounds disgusting, I mean if you really don't care then go for it, its like eating that deep fried Snickers cheese cake(each slice is about 10k calories).

I got one for Christmas. VERY, VERY good. Could use a little more bacon. But the combo is done well and the chocolate good. Now I see they have a dark chocolate bacon bar.

That sounds like something Jim Gaffigan would enjoy.
Edit: Someone beat me to it already! lol
Jim Gaffigan is great, I saw him when he came here a few years ago, met him and got his autograph after the show.
