They likely need snow/mud or stability off mode to bypass the condition. I need to use AWD lock on Pilot or stability off in previous MDX in stuck conditions.
Nope, just FCA/Chrysler/Fiat/Stellantis being themselves 
Other ECE-certfied cars with AWD don't have that problem.
There is a Youtube channel based out of Poland that tests various AWD and 4x4 systems on rollers. There are new/modern ECE-certified AWD cars that pass the tests with no problems.
