Auto RX

I put 2 bottles of Auto-RX in my 2010 Ford Escape 3.0. 1500 miles in and I'm already seeing results I like. The exhaust had been getting really stinky with easily seen vapors in any kind of weather. Within 200 miles of an oil change using Quaker State High Mileage 5-20 Blend and the 2 bottles of Auto-RX, the stench and vapors are pretty much nill. I was pretty shocked actually. The valve rattle the vehicle has had for a half second or so on a cold start-up is mostly gone. The oil consumption and drips seem to be reduced a little at this point but I need to put some more miles on it to be better able to make that call. So far it has been well worth the 40 bucks.

I just put 2 bottles of Auto-RX in my 96 Ford F350 7.3 diesel along with conventional Motorcraft Diesel Oil 10-30.

A question I have is can I increase the dose of Auto-RX with the truck? It seems odd to use the same amount (2 bottles) of additive in the 15 quarts of oil in the F350 compared to the 5 quarts of oil in the Escape. The additive is 1/3 of the concentration in the F350. The F350 7.3 engine is also more than double the size of the 3.0 in the Escape so there is much more surface area in the 7.3 to treat. I'm thinking about putting another bottle in the F350 7.3.

I tried asking this question, along with a few others, directly to Auto-RX but they do not answer emails or calls. The company had no problem selling me product twice, but can't bother with customer service. Even when I tried responding to an email they sent me asking for comments about their product and to please email or call an time with questions.

@Brian123 - newer formula's available that may work faster with less hassle. Have you changed oil brands/versions over the years? 10W-30 conventional worked fine for many millions of users for a long time. Do you still use that in any of your vehicles? Why change?

If you used a product and had a very good experience with it, why would you go with another product? It looks like the product that you used is still available. This is just me, but if I used a product that liberated stuck rings like you have stated, I would not even think about using another product.

Would using some Schaeffer Moly EP, while doing a treatment of Auto-RX with conventional oil, affect the ability of the Auto-RX to work it's magic?

I can definitely appreciate this advice as a general fail safe, don't get yourself in trouble philosophy.

However, someone may know if using Auto-RX and Moly EP at the same time can cause issues whether that be something detrimental or just resulting in either additive being less effective. Or maybe they play nice together?
