hey guys i put in the auto-rx in my engine today.. the thing is i could only get the bottle so warm because i was outside for 6 hours... and not accessible to warm it up... it wasnt too glumpy but it was a really thick pour but i assume its fine because when you warm up the engine it'll melt? my friend warmed it enough that it'll atleast run down but not as smooth as it shoulda been..

also i noticed i didnt change fuel filter so i did that today too.. so hopefully after auto-rx + fuel filter pcv valve .. i can get my gas mileage around 20mpg again

dj215,

If you were able to pour Auto-Rx in your engine it will be ok.
Auto-Rx once it meets oil takes on the viscosity of the host oil in heat or cold. Be patient it will take time and miles you should read the Auto-Rx web page FAQ it will give you more information good luck

oh i know everything else besides that dbd land i was just wondering if it was okay because i didnt fully warm it up like others did.. one person actually put his autorx in the microwave to warm up lol

yeah of course blmqzjc

i had a couple other posts before this... and i've done my research i just wanst too sure about the auto-rx's liquid because i didnt fully warm it up

i store it in the house for that very reason, left a bottle outside on a cold night and couldn't believe how thick it was, lol..

What I do- is poor it in the engine, then poor oil into the arx bottle (bout half full), shake arx bottle, poor into engine, and repeat that several times to get as much of the arx out of the bottle as possible, too expensive to waste a drop, lol.

thanks man, good luck to you too, I have faith in Auto-RX and if it works i'll be recommending it to my other friends because they all drive integras and 240's so you know they need auto-rx too

With the cap securely on the ARX bottle, immerse it in hot tap water for 10 minutes. If you get the ARX up to 85 to 90 degrees it pours like water.

I wouldn't heat a cold bottle with a tight cap and/or the inner foil seal intact, as you are pressurizing the bottle and have to open it thereafter.

I normally break the seal and place the cap on loosely (so any resulting pressure can escape) before heating the bottle.

Heated in hot tap water, ARX pours like water.

i had mine kept in the house by the stove for a few hours then when i left to go out to the garage about 5 miles away where i do all my maintenanace i threw i on the dash over the vents with the heat on high.

Poured better then oil when i put it in

i was out and doing other things before the oil change, im already passed that the question is does it really effect it since it wasn't FULLY warmed up
