ATF as engine oil flush?

Yup I use Mobil 2 for cleaning old rusty and grimy tools.

Whale oil ATF was near magical stuff when I was a young mechanic.

Yes, IOP. certain ATF is a good flush. Base oil makeup is important for flush not DP.

Interesting considerations. Telling us that some ATFs might be beneficial with no further data isn't any more helpful than my post, if it is wrong. So, help us out here. Which fluids are the certain ones that you mentioned?

Not today as the base oils have been replaced by Group III, IV, and V base oils.
