Ok, I hope this topic hasn't been discussed already because I did a search and couldn't find anything.
Alright, started my initial ARX treatment in wifes car and it has about 600 miles left on it.
Wife is now taking a trip to SC and will hit the 600 mile point while she is there, making the car due for its rinse phase.
Now, the car has been seeing way too many short trips during the ARX cleaning phase for my liking. I would say 80% of the miles put on the car have been short trips of less than 15 miles or so.
I know ARX likes a good workout, so my question is this.
Should I wait until she gets home to drain and do the rinse phase? This will put her about 300 to 500 miles overdue.
Or, should I have her hit the Iffy Lube of choice in SC when the car hits 1500 miles?
As of this day, the car has 900 miles on the ARX initial cleaning cycle. Checking the dipstick, the oil is just barely starting to turn colors. Its not black and its not the new oil color. Its more like an inbetween.
Any advice appreciated.
