Mine are... The first time it was degrading but after that you get used to it (it's not easy to be an immigrant).

But since I became a citizen, I don't think they even fingerprint me at the border. Unless they do and I have seized paying attention to it.

The government has my fingerprints. When I signed up to work for the USACE (US Army Corps of Engineers) - computer stuff - I had to go to Fort Irwin, CA and get fingers printed. The lady taking them said it was sent to the FBI. Never thought twice about it.

On this note, they caught some kid in this area who had been stealing mirrors from cars and bringing them to second hand parts dealers. They paid him 30 bucks per mirror, the damage he wrought was over $30k.

He left a perfect fingerprint on one of the cars. He had been arrested a few months ago for stripping an abandoned car. He never thought that his fingerprints might betray him.
