Have noticed eating out the waiters are more aggressive. It's not just that I'm 30-something and their prejudice says I may leave a reasonable tip. The whole interaction is getting snarkier. Instead of "how is everything" two minutes after getting my food, it's "does your food taste okay?", leaving me less opportunity to complain about the view of the dishwasher, or the 3-watt bulbs overhead.

yeah, I ate at o'charleys yesterday with coworkers. the guy actually gave me a to go diet dr. pepper drink on the house. I didn't ask.

I've always spent my money wisely.

Lets see, drives a Corolla, before that a used Taurus and took a Jetta to 260k before selling it to his sister in law. Always has bought stuff on sale and uses it to max.

I use my Discover card for EVERYTHING. Last year I got over $500 cash back and turned it into more $$ buying shopping cards that you pay $40 for and get $50 worth of product.

I eat out here and there, go on trips and like Saturn_Fan I spend a little on firearms and reloading supplies. At least twice a week go out and increase the lead level at the shooting range.

While I wish what has happened to the US never did because it will (has) made us weaker for now, it has not made me do anything different..

Take care, bill

Have been spending a lot more lately to take advantage of the deals. Most of them are stuff that we have to get anyways in the future, so since the deal is now, just get it on good bargain or negotiation.

Piano originally $5500 bargained to $3400

Credit cards, one with 3% restaurant, office, and home improvement rebate, the other with 5% gas and business expense. Pay it off every month.

Stocked up on oil before the crash, free after rebate Valvoline Synpower and dino, so unless it is free, I'm not buying any more for the next 2 years.

Sold my ESPP stock when there were merger rumors, bought some competitor's stock when they were beaten down after the crash, sitting tight for the ride next 6 months or so.

Wife is applying for grad school, so got to study hard, and no time to cook. We ended up eating out more, but it is to buy time and reduce chores with money, so I consider that an investment.

Will probably postpone traveling until the air fare drops, that's about it.
