Do you only run one kind of oil or an oil from only one company?

I tend to mix it up and try different brands.

I have gone between different brands based on price and what I feel like trying at that time. My next experiment is with Lubro Moly but I have been on a Mobil 1 kick lately. I will bounce around with different brands until I find an oil that I like.

I like a lot of brands but am most brand loyal to Mobil 1 (surprise surprise LOL).

In stints it seems.
I am open-minded, but I do tend to like certain brands.
Not loyal as to be blind, but I do value a companies support model.
Of course, nice cans/jugs always help

Yes. But i have used Amsoil, Mobil 1, & pennzoil Platinum in this order since back in the 1970's, I'm presently still on the Pennzoil Platinum. I am seriously considering going to Pennzoil Ultra. I'm not sure it's worth the money due to the way I drive.
It seems that the regular Pennzoil yellow bottle is a very good oil. I might consider this too due the cost.

If I find a product I like from a certain brand I will tend to stick with that product until I find something else that is better performance/value. I will pay a bit more for a brand I have found to work well, but I will also change if I find the brand doesn't perform like it used to. I personally don't see an advantage in chasing the lowest priced oil or filter if it means switching brands from what I know works well.

I'm loyal to Valvoline and all of their products.
This started for me back in 1987 when I started driving. I am a fan of Mark Martin, who used to drive the #6 Valvoline Ford. The sponsorship worked for me.. although he runs pennzoil on his #5 car, I'm still stuck on Valvoline.
For my own vehicles, I'm at 75% valvoline products. 10% redline and the rest everything else. (namely MMO and Seafoam).
For relatives and friends, it's kindof a tossup. Usually Mobil 1 for some, mobil clean 5000/7500, Castrol for my neighbor, my other neighbor who has a 94 civic that needs to be retired, I use my recycled oil droplets (I have the bottle funnel that takes the oil drops left and drips it into another bottle). So that's a hodge podge, if I don't have any, I buy the cheap autozone valucraft oil. But I usually have enough of something lying around for her car.
I don't skimp on filters though.. Wix all the way.

I am brand loyal to Mobil 1 because of their history of being a leader in synthetic lubricant technology, and for providing arguably one of the best oils for over 30 years.

I tend to pick the 4-5 best products for my application (my personal "approved" list), then wait for sales and buy the least expensive product on the list.

Usually ends up being a PP or GC thanks to specials at various auto parts stores... Amsoil, Edge, PU, and RP are all priced out of my range.

no, i'll use any oil that shows excellent UOA and has a nice feel in my engine...

for me, that oil is valvoline synpower

Used M1 oils in many differant engines for 32 years. If XM closed shop today, I would go with PP until PU has been around for a while.
