Are all supertech filters combo valves?

From the pics I've seen here the supertech filters look like combo valves. I'm interested in the ST3614 used in Ford applications. All of the cut and pastes I've seen on the ecore supertechs look really good with tight pleats.

Majority ST use combo valves. Two that don't ST6607 (not ecore) and ST9688(hybrid design, nylon cage with poppet bypass). ST3614 does use a combo valve.

And any ST ecore filter for earlier GM with block bypass, nitrile adbv only.

No. In addition to the exceptions Sayjac noted, cartridge filters, including SuperTech ones, have no valves.

No cartridge type filters use a traditional dome or thread end mechanical metal spring bypass and thus including them in any combo valve discussion is a moot point ie., only spin on type filters use combo valves. Combo valves being bypass and adbv together in on piece.

To be most precise, the majority of ST spin on/(canister) applications are ecores. Of those ecores that have a filter integral bypass function, the vast majority use nitrile combo valves. The previously mentioned ST9688 being the one current ecore exception.

Further the specific topic of query the ST 3614, a spin on type filter, as correctly noted, uses a combo valve.

As a related aside, the majority of all oil filter applications are spin on type applications.

Very true, but misses the point.

This makes the specific topic point as posted,

Thus cartridge filters are extraneous and irrelevant to the specific topic of inquiry.
