Ordered a couple of bottles and was going to try.

My Scion does not have many miles on it yet, and the Sonata has seen a shot of Techron every 10k miles.

Prob gonna hit both of them with a full dose then go to maint doses after that.

Been talking to Dave via email, and just asked him to clarify how many gallons the 1.5 ounce dose covers.

I'm using it now as a maint dose in an 88 E-150 I've been having injector issues with. I did two FI line cleanings, along with some RL FI cleaner. I started the maint dose about a month ago. I've been noticing improvement, but haven't been driving the van much lately.

What was the dosage Dave suggested for maint?

I bought about 20 bottles of it when AAP had it on clearance. I use half a bottle every 6 months in all ours cars but have really never noticed any difference in the way the engine runs or gas mileage.

I dose mine with a cleaning dose every 20k. Seems to be sufficient in all the vehicles that go over 125k. TB & psark plugs are all clean at 125k service.

Yeah, Im wondering if the 10k dose is all, and skip the maint dose. Have not heard back from Dave on the proper amount/gallon for the dose.

Once thing you miss with not using the maint dose is the UCL capabilities.

I think it's 1.5 oz/10 gls. Use top tier gas with extra cleaning the RL will add additional cleaning in maintenance dose as a preventive measure.

The maintenance dose is listed and measured right on the side of every bottle of redline injector cleaner.

I might pop in a bottle every couple months using either Arco or Cosco gasoline. I haven't noticed any difference anyway. As long as it doesn't make my gas go sour.

It's cheaper than using a bottle of Techron for sure.

That's what I'm inclined to do. Dump an entire bottle in once a year or something and let it clean real good.

Prevention is better than treatment IMO. I wonder if it works out cheaper to use top tier gas vs regular w/SI-1.
