Finish Kare makes a wide range of vehicle (car & boat) detailing products. I am most intersted in paint prep, sealants and quick detailers.

There seems to a lot of current interest in the products on some of the detailing forums. FYI, they have a sample kit of various products. WWW.FK1USA.com

I've started using their products on my family fleet. While I can state that they work much better than OTC and that the Tech Support line is very willing to spend the time to explain things, I don't have a good baseline on other "boutique" products. I have Klasse AIO and Sealant Glaze but haven't tried them yet.

I really like their 425 detailer and the 2685 Pink Wax. I've used those products in conjunction with their 303 glaze and 2180 sealant to renew the finish on my '95 525iT.

sounds good. I just got their sample kit. The products seem excellent. I have never seen a detailer as smooth as 425. However,I do not know the durability FK-1 products.

I have FK1 PW over Klasse AIO and SG. It looks so much better. From what I've read, PW has a 4-6 moths durability, but only time will tell. I also have the 425 and hope I get a chance to use it...when it stops raining.

Check the FK1 product support forum on their website. Their resident tech says that 2180 can last up to a year. My experience is limited to just a week, so time will tell.

A week? QDs last a week. I just do not believe that at all. I have the sample kit plus some 216, and 1000P. So far all I've used is the 108 Top Kote and 118 Car Shampoo, so far 108 is the best interior protectant I've used. 118 is a very nice car wash, very slick and cleans real well.

Wasatch, what I am saying is that my experience with these products started a week ago, not that I believe the products last a week.

It holds up real well, had it on for about a month until I decided to put some more on. It does have some anti-static capability also (not much dust at all) did not even have to clean it before apply another coat. Was not as shiney as day one, but overall it's a very nice product. A little goes a long way.

I'm testing 2180 and 215 on a small section of my truck. While durability remains unknown (I applied it 3 days ago), I'm not all that impressed with the looks or application. Not that it's bad, but it's nothing spectacular either.

The 2180/215 combo is a lot like the Klasse twins in basic performance. If I were a dedicated Klasse user I wouldn't switch at this time.

Aerospace 303 has very low shine which I especially like for my interior. So the Finish Kare 108 has some shine to it?

With the exception of the regular car wash, which I deemed "average", all of the other products I have used (6 in total) have been top notch. The flat rate shipping and a free sample of another product with each order is brilliant.

I just put two layers of 2180 on my car today. Tommorrow i plan to top with the 425 detailing spray as it will add slickness. I must say the car is very reflective and slick.

I now plan to do nothing for a while to see how durable Finish Kare is. Even then I may try the 425 on half a hood to see the effects of the detail spray.

Russell,

The FX-100 is a natural over the 2180, even more depth and reflection. 425 as a quick detailer over that combo means put your shades on!
