Has anyone tried Neo ATF in any automatic transmission but particularly Honda? Neo claims that it will work fine where Z1 fluid is called for.

I'm sure it's real expensive as their 5W30 oil is $9-10 per quart.

Neo ATF is $10.95 a quart. The cost sounds expensive but if you run a good fluid and do a TAN on it for your automatic trans. you can get excellent results. Any lab can run an oil analysis on your ATF and you can be sure your fluid (whatever it is) is doing it's job. Pick a lab on here a site sponsor or ask and someone on here can suggest a lab or two. And to answer your do you use it. Every application called out, powers steering, T-5 manual transmission in my mustang runs it. IMHO you get what you pay for.
Thanks for your time.

I'm using it, and have been for a year and a half. I bought 4 gallons of it and did a complete flush and added a bigger capacity transmission pan. I do recommend this stuff. I use it in my 99' Z28 with the 4L60E automatic.

I also used it for a number of years in a C6 in an F100 (F150 in the US) behind a pretty warm 351 Clevland.
This vehicle was worked hard during the week, then towed a race car on the weekend. The fluid held up fine, never appearing to oxidise, change colour or smell, with the transmission functioning well.

You guys have good advice. I just wonder if some stuff is just about as good in your transmission at a cheaper price.I am trying new stuff since the grading systems and testing seem to be available. I put a new Amsoil air filter and my mileage went down 3 mpg. But thinking of using their ATF in my wifes 2003 Sonata. It was that or Pensoil blend ATF. What do you think will it meet the specs.

I am thinking about using this in a 4T60-E transmission. NEO claims it can be used for the following:

NEO Automatic Transmission Fluid meets and exceeds requirements for Dexron II; Ford Mercon; Ford Type F; Ford types M2Cl3SCJ, M2C166H, M2C163A2; Allison C-4; Caterpillar TO-2, Sperry Vickers, Denison and Sundstrand hydraulic pump systems.

They also say it is a universal fluid & can be used in all automatic transmissions. Sorta hard to believe. I've never seen an ATF recommended for Type F & Dexron like this.

My transmission calls for Dexron III. Do you think this will still do a good job?

As I posted above, the Neo worked really well in my hard worked C6. It was eventually replaced with Amsoil ATF which worked just as well and was functionally identical, but that big old 'box only required a Dex II fluid.

Why not try some of Molakules new fluid here.
It is a partial syn, Dex III and is only $3.95/qt, $11.95/gallon.
I wouldn't mind betting it works just as well as anything else available, or at least email him and discuss what you are using it in and how you'll be using it.

I feel talking to the actual chemist/blender beats trying to choose out of a catalogue. You could even end up with a custom brew.
