I for one don't and won't. $18.79 a 5quart jug. No thanks. I remember when it was dirt cheap but now it's too pricey

Anyone here use it? I know it's a good oil like Kendall

I've noticed that, too. I still have some that's 2-3 years old I'm using. I wonder why the price went up?

With Harvest King full synthetic $10-$12 a gallon, I've switched to that for "stock replenishment" but haven't tried any yet.
It's Dexos approved & licensed.

It's a very good oil, and I would use it in my Fusion..

.. but not in lieu of a better-priced, comparable synblend from a different manufacturer.

Considering that I can buy a 5qt jug of Pennzoil Gold for about $2 cheaper than MC, I'd probably go with the Pennz Gold over the MC. That is, if I needed any oil, which I don't at this point in time.

Also, considering I tend to buy my oil in mass quantity on clearance, and I rarely, if ever, see MC on clearance, I probably won't end up buying any MC based on that.

I'm in agreement with everyone else here - not a bad oil but the price just isn't right.

If I had a new Ford product that had to have it where I was concerned about warranty, I probably would.

I quit using it in my Subaru last year. Using Quaker State Enhanced Durability syn-blend now, since it's Dexos1 compliant and less money. Dexos1 means nothing for my Subaru, but to me it indicates the oil more than exceeds my needs.

Yup, exactly. Now I'd opt for ST Synthetic for the same money.

Yup. $19.77 at W/M. And after the $7 mfg rebate....only $12.77. It's one of the best deals out there for now.

I like Red Bottles ...

I use it in my 2014 Mustang GT and in my fiancee's 2007 Mustang GT. It doesn't cost that much more for me not to use it and while my car is in warranty, that is what I will continue to use. I don't get bent out of shape about a few more dollars per 5 qrt jugs like some people do.

I spend more on gas for a week in my Jeep than I do for oil and filter for a full six months. So I don't get too bent about a couple bucks for a jug, but I agree the Motorcraft has tough competition in the syn-blend category and entry level syn's at it's current price point.

I used to get it's cousin Trop Artic for 2 bucks a quart and it was great stuff, used a bunch but can't get it anymore and miss it.

Not a MC user, but a lot of my customers swear by it for their Fords. If the price bothers you that much, just use ConocoPhillips branded syn blend oil, same exact stuff, different bottle and probably cheaper I'd imagine. Service Pro lubricants are made by Conoco as well, and those can be found for even cheaper than MC and Conoco branded products in a lot of places.

Motorcraft costs more because of the licensing fee Conoco is paying to The Big Blue Oval to put a sticker on a bottle that has Ford's trademarks written on it, therefore, that extra cost is offloaded on the consumer.

ConocoPhillips is not the same as Motorcraft. Don't recall which, but either the base oil or the add-pack is different. Same goes with Trop-Artic.

Motorcraft is a really good synblend, since a top-shelf automaker like Ford swears by it and has it manufactured according to how Ford wants those chemistry-specs to be and which base oil facility, owned by Conoco, that they want used.

Motorcraft is blended by Phillips in the United States due to Phillips provided the most cost effective contract to bottle products with the Motorcraft name. In Canada Motorcraft is bottled by a different supplier thus it is not labeled synthetic blend. There is enough South Korean group III blended into Phillips products to meet current specs to be labeled a synthetic blend. This and other Phillips products are not superior to other PCMO's on the market. None meet additional OEM specs and virgin analysis has produced data which Motorcraft and other Phillips products are just within specifications of being API SN/GF-5.

As for the posters whom state it is only a few bucks more and it is rather foolish to worry about a few bucks. Motorcraft costs more and meets the exact specs as M5K. What is foolish about saving money on a product that meets the same specs as the more expensive product?

Motorcraft for the Altima and going to get another for the lady's Camry. It's not all too bad. But I agree that it's gone up $4 in the last number of years.
