Liqui-moly makes a few additives that have shown mpg improvements in every engine I've put them in. From my Honda engine'd air compressors to my generators.
One is called MOS2. It's molybdenum disulfide. In my experience with it it's improved fuel consumption in everything I've put it in.
The other is called cera-tec. It's hard to find in Canada so I ordered it from the states. Thus far I can't really tell about fuel efficiency since my truck idles 10-12 hours a day running to and from different sites, sitting onsite with trades etc however when I bought the truck I couldnt get better than 14-15 mpg driving out to my girls house. Same route and driving habits get better than 17 now and a couple times I had the mileage counter hit 21mpg.
I've only been able to find liqui-moly products at napa.
The companies products thus far have done exactly what they said they would do,and their oils are held in high regard in Europe, based on some European members anecdotes.
Try em. Worst case scenario you don't like them and drain it out.
There are countless threads on mos2. I suggest reading them.
